Hark! The herald doggies bark!

It is Christmas Eve and I just went outside with a rather excited Max.  Listening as we walked, it seems like nearly every dog within earshot is barking up a storm.  The chorus of dog voices is really quite amazing.  Do they all sense something that we cannot?
